A Few Thoughts from Milbank

These thoughts from John Milbank, a Catholic Theologian and Philosopher, capture some interesting and intriguing views on Postmodernity. He analyzes the claims of Postmodern philosophy and epistemology to show that the claims of the contemporary Liberal social order are difficult, if not impossible, to philosophically stabilize; perhaps we are seeing much of the manifestations of such an epistemology today in the competing claims, and the ensuing political strife, of the social order on the nature of race, gender, and other concepts of human identity.

These are important ideas to interrogate and explore when thinking about what sort of society we will develop moving into the future in the Liberal West.
